Lords of the Fallen – Side Quest Guide（Part 3）

1. Byron’s Side Quest

First encounter: You meet Byron at the Bell-Hall teleport point. Then he will later appear at the Forsaken Fen swamp teleport point.
Advance the main story to the Mines. At the “Hoist” teleport point (crane-area) you meet Byron again; he tells you he’s looking for a necklace — if you find it first you need to tell him.
After defeating the boss “Skinstealer” (do not take the elevator yet), obtain the Drainage Control Key and proceed into the Sewers to open the path to Revelation Depths. Along the way you encounter Winterberry.
Speak with Winterberry; then return to the hoist teleport point and talk to Byron again, telling him you found the necklace.
Proceed the main path to Upper Calrath, then teleport back to Skyrest Bridge. Both Byron and Winterberry will now appear beneath the Spell-teacher’s cell block; talk to both NPCs and the quest ends.

2. Drustan’s Side Quest

First meeting: Drustan is located in Fitzroy’s Gorge, inside a cave where you must use UmbralRealm (Shadow-mode) to cross a bridge, then discover a small side-cave and talk to him.
Second meeting: Drustan appears at the teleport point under the Leper-Witch tower (in the Fief of the Winter Curse area) — open the school gate, then hand him the Unripe Berries.
Third meeting: Drustan is in the Fief of the Winter Curse (Ice-Cursed Land). On the way you’ll trigger a rock-fall instant-kill trap. Afterwards you’ll face wolves + invisible archer enemies, then in Umbral Realm you meet a False-Face and flying imps. You may pick up an Umbral spell. At the bonfire (campfire) area on the right side, talk to Drustan and then ignite the bonfire to complete this stage.
Proceed the main path to the Castle. Enter Umbral mode, extinguish the flame at the entry, descend to the platform, unlock two gates, then enter a fight-area filled with burnt corpses, the Hell Witch and multiple statue imps; there is a Soul-capture point in the zone. After defeating the boss Sundered Monarch, at the statue of Adyr you’ll find the Soul-capture point; capturing it ends Drustan’s side quest.

3. Dark Crusader Side Quests

Key point: This questline unlocks the hidden class “Dark Crusader”. Important: Do not prematurely kill the boss Lightreaper, otherwise the quest chain will break.

From the starting area, you will face Lightreaper (do not kill him yet). On the path you’ll find on the left a long-haired parasite soldier; on the right path you’ll obtain a Skin (Skinned Hide) — picking up the skin triggers the Dark Crusader quest by default. Do not enter via Umbral mode yet because a large gate blocks the way.
Progress to Lower Calrath; the first time you come here you must use Umbral mode — there is a Soul-capture point where you receive the Wooden Dark Crusader Cross.
Advance to the Fief of the Winter Curse (Ice-Cursed Land); at its entrance there is a Soul-capture point. After defeating the Hollow Crow boss and just below the Purified Beacon you’ll meet Lightreaper again (do not kill). You’ll pick up York’s Ring, then use Umbral mode to jump down at a fork and find another Soul-capture point.
From the Teleport-Monument (after unlocking via Pilgrim’s Key) you reach a high slope combat area with a Soul-capture point — fight here. Then using Umbral mode continue exploring, face a boss who uses heavenly lightning and self-heals, defeat him to receive the Dyed Hide. Use that hide to unlock a gate, pick up the Paladin full equipment set.
Proceed the main storyline to Upper Calrath and defeat Lightreaper once. Then at the doorway the Paladin questline unlocks. If you did not clear the Ice-Cursed Land & Abbey before this, you won’t trigger Lightreaper the first time — then defeating him unlocks Dark Crusader. Quest ends.

4. Theck-Ihir’s Side Quest (Thief)

Step 1: Shortly after leaving the start area and climbing the stairs you meet a thief NPC; talk to him and receive a club (stick).
Step 2: Meet him at the teleport point near the Pale Butcher area.
Step 3: Meet him in the Forsaken Fen ruins, before the Flesh-Mass boss area.
Step 4: Meet him in the Ice-Cursed Land, before the Hollow Crow boss.
Step 5: Meet him near the Monument teleport point.
Step 6: Meet him near the Leper Hospital teleport point.
Step 7: Meet him near the Abbey teleport point.
After defeating the final Empyrean Boss and obtaining the Thorn Chalice, return to the four steadfast guard floors to pick up the thief’s full equipment set.
