1. Stomund Side Quest
Key point: You must collect two banners—if you reach the Empyrean before handing them in, the quest will fail.
- After advancing the main story to Upper Calrath, near the Skyrest Bridge area, pick up two maps and the Pilgrim’s Key.
- Teleport to the Bell-Hall area (“Bell room”), and use the Pilgrim’s Key to push the main path to the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters. In the Abbey you’ll see two Holy Sentinels; one courtyarded area has a parasite-infested yard, and in the Umbral realm you will see a false-faced sentinel. Use the lamp on the wooden fence, take the elevator down, follow the path, and obtain the damaged standard banner.
- On the second floor of an arena with many enemies, you’ll meet Stomund (he’s surrounded by worshippers and minor casters). Submit the Damaged Standard; doing so unlocks additional spells and a ring for sale.
- After defeating the boss Euphoria’s Huntress, exit to the courtyard outside and meet the Sister of Pain. Enter the Umbral realm to open the hidden door, pick up the Blood-crux Essence, and then go back and trigger the spell-master NPC; next you obtain the Tattered Banner.
- Return to the second floor and deliver the Tattered Banner to Stomund. Then proceed to the Empyrean. At the main door you’ll find Stomund’s full set of equipment. Quest complete.
2. Damarose Side Quest
Key point: Do not purify/light any beacon during your interaction with Damarose, otherwise she becomes hostile and the quest ends.
- First meeting: Damarose appears on the second floor of the Sister of Pain boss arena; speak to her to progress the main story.
- Second meeting: She shows up outside the Hound-Mistress boss location; talk to her. If you miss the first two meetings, she may instead appear in the gorge or at the PvP altar.
- Later: At the sewers underneath Calrath, after defeating the boss, you’ll receive the Drainage Control Key; further inside you’ll find the Saw (key item). Give the saw to Damarose.
- Continue on the main path to the Fire Village. After clearing it and defeating the Infernal Witch/The Abandoned Kin, you obtain Flesh (meat)—give it to Damarose. Then defeat the Lightreaper boss and hand over its flesh too.
- Approaching the Castle: Before you reach the final castle area, you’ll encounter Damarose (if you purified a beacon, you’ll face her as a boss fight). Otherwise she hands you the Saw again.
- After defeating the final boss, Sundered Monarch, pick up Damarose’s full equipment set from the statue of Adyr. Quest complete.
3. Petrified Woman Side Quest
Key point: After freeing her from petrification, she must not be attacked—if she dies, the quest cannot continue.
- In the Forsaken Fen swamp you’ll hear singing; follow it to a vine-covered cave behind the bonfire area near the “Vestige of Valade.” Attack the vines, speak to the petrified woman.
- Use the Radiance spell Sanctify (found in a chest after the Pieta boss up the tower) to cure her. Afterwards, exhaust her dialogue; then fast-travel or reset the area to collect the Radiance catalyst “Wilmarc’s Catalyst” behind where she stood.
- Next meeting: At the Skyrest Bridge hub, locate her in one of the prison cells between the NPC vendors; speak to her, and you unlock her summoning for boss fights. You’ll need to summon her for multiple major bosses (e.g., The Hushed Saint, The Hollow Crow, The Lightreaper). After each boss you’ll need to pay her a hire fee (e.g., 8,500 Vigor) to proceed.
- After defeating the final boss, Sundered Monarch, speak to her one last time at the Skyrest hub to collect her full equipment set. Quest complete.
4. Andreas of Ebb Side Quest
- First talk to Andreas on your initial visit to Skyrest Bridge (near the Vestige).
- After defeating the Congregator of Flesh boss, talk to him again to receive the Fief Key. If you skip talking, he will drop the key on the ground later.
- After defeating the Spurned Progeny boss, return to Skyrest to find a note and the key if you skipped him.
- Head to the Fief of the Chill Curse area; traverse the ice cave until Andreas ambushes you. Take the “Book of Lineage” from a stigma in the Umbral realm in a tower accessible from the Upper Calrath route, then return the book to Andreas.
- Advance the main story to defeat the Lightreaper. Immediately after that fight, you’ll find Andreas again and must defeat him in combat to finish the quest. You’ll receive his unique gear as the reward.
